About MassageNew Client Info—Your First Satisfying Kneads MassageAre you new to massage or to our practice? Interested, but not quite sure what to expect? Knowing what to expect is important to feeling relaxed in just about everything we do, especially the new things. Massage is no different, so here are a few thoughts to ease your mind and prepare you for a very enjoyable experience—your first Satisfying Kneads health-focused touch therapy. Costs—While we're confident that you'll find our regular fees to be affordable, competitive and a superb value for your wellness dollar, let us welcome you to Satisfying Kneads Wellness Massage with a special new client introductory rate on your first one-hour Wellness Massage, which is our signature health-focused touch therapy. Communication—Your therapist needs to know why you are having touch therapy, so be sure to accurately complete the confidential intake form. Don’t hesitate to mention any special medical or other concerns you might have. Privacy—Your privacy will be respected at all times with proper draping to expose an area only as it is treated. Your therapist will explain how to cover yourself so that your privacy is assured. Tell your therapist if you prefer not to remove any of your clothing so that the therapeutic technique can be adjusted accordingly. Comfort—If necessary, your therapist can assist you in getting onto the massage table. If a table is uncomfortable for you, a specially designed chair can be used. Pillows and blankets can be used for extra support and warmth. Feel free to tell your therapist if she is using too much or too little pressure for your comfort. Also, please tell your therapist if you prefer not to have background music during your therapy, or if the music volume needs to be adjusted. Zzzzzz—It’s OK to fall asleep during your session. Finally—After your session, get up slowly from the massage table or chair—your therapist will help you if you’d like. You’ll then be able to remove any draping and dress in complete privacy. Finish by drinking a glass or two of water to help cleanse your system. |
